Regina Garrett for LSR7

Re-elect Regina Garrett: Proven leadership for safer schools and stronger classrooms.

Meet Regina Garrett

Regina Garrett is a 16-year resident of Lee’s Summit and a dedicated incumbent member of the LSR7 Board of Education who believes in delivering "Results Over Ideology". As a parent with children currently attending East Trails Middle School and Lee’s Summit High School, Regina brings a unique, "on-the-ground" perspective to the board, having navigated district programs ranging from Parents as Teachers and Great Beginnings to seven years of IEP meetings. Her professional background in science and sales informs her evidence-based approach to leadership and her commitment to fiscal stewardship, ensuring every tax dollar is an intentional investment in student outcomes rather than "trendy" programs.

During her first term, Regina successfully championed cell phone restrictions to restore a focused social climate to classrooms, advocated for the $5.4 million tax levy transfer to ensure veteran teachers are compensated fairly, and launched the Student Board of Education Representatives program to give the "end-users" of policy a seat at the table. Whether she is traveling to Jefferson City to fight for modernized state funding or demanding 100% transparency on local tax levies, Regina remains a steadfast liaison between families and the district, prioritizing academic excellence and the safety of every student.
